Butterfly Dreamer is best suited to painters who have already completed at least one kit. The portrait sections, particularly the detailed violet eyes and skin tones, reward patience and precision. The rose and butterfly sections around the edges are large and approachable, but the central portrait is the most detailed work in our diamond painting range.

How many colours does this kit include?

The colour range covers the full depth of the violet eyes, the warm skin tones, the white-blonde hair, the dark hat, the pink and orange roses, the deep blue butterflies, and all the layered background tones between them. Every colour comes with 20% extra diamonds included as standard, so running out mid-session is never a concern.

Is a portrait harder to paint in diamond format than a landscape or floral?

Not inherently harder, but it is more rewarding in a specific way. Portrait sections require more checking of the symbol chart as colours shift more frequently across small areas, particularly around the eyes and face. The payoff, a face that looks genuinely alive in faceted 5D resin, is unlike anything a landscape or floral can produce.

Which diamond shape is best for Butterfly Dreamer?

Square diamonds are the stronger recommendation for this design.
