Is this kit suitable for beginners?

Garden Spirit is best suited to painters who have already completed at least one kit. The sheer variety of colour and detail across the canvas is rewarding but can feel busy for a first attempt. If you are new to diamond painting, start with a design that has larger single-colour areas, then come back to this one as your second or third project.

How many colours does this kit include?

The colour range covers the full spectrum of the image, from the warm amber and orange of the bird's chest feathers through the teal wing tips, the violet sky, and all the pinks, corals, and whites of the surrounding flowers. Every colour comes with 20% extra diamonds included, so you will always have enough to finish.

Which size canvas is best for this design?

This design genuinely rewards a larger canvas. The 50x60cm or 60x80cm sizes give every feather and flower the space it needs to read clearly, and the completed piece in the larger sizes has genuine gallery presence. The 40x50cm is also excellent. The 20x25cm will complete faster but some of the finer detail in the background flowers will be smaller to work with.

Should I choose round or square diamonds for Garden Spirit?

Either works, but square diamonds are the stronger recommendation for this design. The level of detail across the feathers and flowers is sharpest with the clean edge-to-edge coverage that square diamonds provide. Round diamonds are faster and still produce a beautiful, sparkly result if you prefer a more relaxed experience.
